Made from this spring delivers a maximum torque of 1.205 lb-in (136.147 N-mm) through its 6.5 total coils with a deflection to max torque of 201 degrees for predictable angular performance. The spring features legs with a length of 1.378 inch (35 mm) positioned at 360 degrees in the free position, operating at a radius of 0.689 inch (17.5 mm) with a body length of 0.28 inch (7.01 mm). This torsion spring has Zinc Plate and Bake per ASTM B633 and a Left Hand direction of wind and provides consistent rotational force for optimal performance in angular displacement applications.

Torsion Spring selection are available in seven categories based on the free position of legs (90°, 120°, 180°, 210°, 270°, 300°, 360°) and both left-hand and right-hand wound springs are available.

Direction of Wind:

Good design dictates that torsion springs should be used in the direction that winds the coil. When ordering, select either LTL (standard left-hand wound) or LTR (standard right-hand wound) for required application.

Mandrel Size:

Generally, torsion springs are used over a mandrel (shaft or arbor). The column "Suggested Mandrel Size", allows approximately a 10% clearance for the various deflections shown in examples below. If you require greater deflection, a reduction in mandrel size is suggested.
