The spring features legs with a length of 2 inch (50.8 mm) positioned at 180 degrees in the free position, operating at a radius of 1 inch (25.4 mm) with a body length of 0.28 inch (7.11 mm). Direction of Wind:

Good design dictates that torsion springs should be used in the direction that winds the coil. When ordering, select either LTL (standard left-hand wound) or LTR (standard right-hand wound) for required application.

Mandrel Size:

Generally, torsion springs are used over a mandrel (shaft or arbor). The column "Suggested Mandrel Size", allows approximately a 10% clearance for the various deflections shown in examples below. If you require greater deflection, a reduction in mandrel size is suggested.
