Lee Spring LE 024B 02 M is a precision extension spring from the Standard Extension Series (inch), engineered for applications requiring reliable quality extension springs. This spring features a 0.188-inch outside diameter (4.78 mm) with 0.14-inch loop inside diameter (3.56 mm) and extends from a free length of 0.688 inch (17.48 mm) to a maximum extended length of 1.108 inch (28.14 mm). Made from Music Wire with a 0.024-inch wire diameter (0.61 mm), the spring delivers a spring rate of 7.2 lb/inch (1.261 N/mm) through its 15.7 total coils with an initial tension of 0.4 lb (1.779 N). The spring supports a maximum load of 3.4 lb (15.124 N) at full extension with a body length of 0.408 inch (10.36 mm). The spring features Random loop position and Zinc Plate and Bake per ASTM B633 finish for optimal performance.

Extension Springs: Standard Series

The Lee Spring Standard Extension Spring Series includes a wide range of size and rate combinations and in both inch and metric sizes. Standard Series springs are available in Music Wire, Type 302 Stainless Steel and Type 316 Stainless Steel. Metric Series springs are available in Music Wire and Type 302 Stainless Steel. The Music Wire springs are provided with a plating finish for light corrosion resistance. The Type 302 Stainless Steel springs are passivated, while Type 316 Stainless Steel springs are passivated and ultrasonically cleaned.

Lee Spring's Stock Extension Springs are supplied with full diameter loops (either to machine or crossover center style) at a random position with the exception of Metric Extension Springs which are specified to meet DIN Standards. Loop openings are approximately one wire diameter and the direction of wind is factory optional.
