Lee Spring EIM020A 03 S is a precision extension spring from the Instrument Extension Series (metric) series, engineered for applications requiring reliable quality extension springs. This spring features a 2.01-mm outside diameter (0.079 inch) with 1.6-mm loop inside diameter (0.063 inch) and extends from a free length of 15.01 mm (0.591 inch) to a maximum extended length of 43.87 mm (1.727 inch). Made from Stainless Steel with a 0.2-mm wire diameter (0.008 inch), the spring delivers a spring rate of 0.046 N/mm (0.26 lb/inch) through its 55.1 total coils with an initial tension of 0.111 N (0.025 lb) for predictable extension behavior. The spring supports a maximum load of 1.423 N (0.32 lb) at full extension with a body length of 11.4 mm (0.449 inch). The spring features Random loop position and Passivate per ASTM A967 finish for optimal performance.

About the Extension Spring Instrument Series

The Lee Spring Extension Spring Instrument Series includes a wide range of size and rate combinations in a smaller, highly precise spring design. Selections are sorted in ascending order based on outside diameter. Instrument Series Extension Springs are available in both inch and metric sizes. Sizes range from outside diameters from .063" up to .157" and free lengths from .250" to 1.181". Inch Series springs are available in Music Wire, Type 302 Stainless Steel and Type 316 Stainless Steel. Metric Series springs are available in Music Wire and Type 302 Stainless Steel. The Music Wire springs are made from coated wire or provided with a plating finish for light corrosion resistance. The Type 302 Stainless Steel springs are passivated, while Type 316 Stainless Steel springs are passivated and ultrasonically cleaned.
