High Pressure Series (inch) Compression Springs

High Spring Rates in a Narrow Profile

Lee Spring LHP 024A 06S is a slender low index compression spring from the High Pressure Series (inch) series, engineered for applications requiring exceptional strength in a more compact design. This spring features an 0.12-inch outside diameter (3.05 mm) with a 0.125-inch hole diameter (3.18 mm) and extends to a free length of 1.5 inch (38.1 mm), making it ideal for high pressure applications. Made from Stainless Steel Type 17-7 PH with a 0.024-inch wire diameter (0.61 mm), the spring delivers a spring rate of 14.86 lb/inch (2.602 N/mm) through its 34.7 active coils out of 36.7 total coils for predictable deflection behavior. The spring compresses to a solid height of 0.881 inch (22.38 mm) while supporting a maximum load of 9.2 lb (40.92 N) at full compression. The spring has Squared and Ground ends and a Passivate per ASTM A967 finish for optimal performance.

About the High Pressure Compression Series

High Pressure Compression Springs designed as a unique series of slender low index compression springs with relatively high pressure ratings compared to standard compression springs. Designed to fit in small holes from 1/8" to 2" and preset to solid height. The High Pressure Series is made of 17-7 Stainless Steel with precipitation hardening heat treatment, shot peened and passivated. This series offers high load capacities in four pressure ratings; 300 PSI, 400 PSI, 500 PSI and 600 PSI spring variations. The pressure rating assigned to each item of the High Pressure Series is a selection parameter to assist in meeting qualitative requirements or quantitative requirements. This series springs is ideal for high working loads in short deflections, for example safety relief valves and check valves in fluid power applications, ball plungers, electrical contacts, switches, vise clamps, quick change tools, toys, and production line fittings or accessories.
