Standard DIN Sizes Plus Improved Corrosion Resistance

Lee Spring LCD160EE 01 M is a precision compression spring from the DIN-Plus Series Part 1, engineered for requiring precise force delivery and reliable performance. This spring features an 0.378-inch outside diameter (9.6 mm) with a 0.398-inch hole diameter (10.1 mm) and extends to a free length of 0.571 inch (14.5 mm), making it ideal for critical assemblies. Made from Music Wire with a 0.063-inch wire diameter (1.6 mm), the spring delivers a spring rate of 212.779 lb/inch (37.265 N/mm) through its 3.5 active coils out of 5.5 total coils for predictable deflection behavior. The spring compresses to a solid height of 0.346 inch (8.8 mm) while supporting a maximum load of 47.758 lb (212.44 N) at full compression. The spring has Squared and Ground ends and a Zinc Plate and Bake per ASTM B633 finish for optimal performance.

About the DIN-Plus Compression Spring Series

The Lee Spring DIN-Plus Compression Spring Series offers a large selection of standard DIN size springs to meet increasing global demand for metric designs with the added benefit of excellent corrosion resistance. The DIN-Plus Series is offered in two DIN types, Part 1 and Part 2. This spring is a DIN Part 1 type spring.

The DIN2098 Part 1 series includes the more standard to larger range of DIN2098 compression springs made of spring steel available in sizes from 4.4mm (0.173") to 1015mm (39.961") long. Wire sizes go from 0.5mm (0.020") up to 10mm (0.394") over a selection of outside diameters to work inside hole diameters from 3.4mm (0.134") to 140mm (5.512"). All parts are right hand wound with ends squared and ground for added stability under heavy loading. This series is also preset for wire sizes 1.25mm (0.049") and up which increases load carrying ability. The Lee Spring DIN-Plus Part 1 range also includes a zinc plate finish, which improves corrosion resistance and distinguishes the Lee Spring DIN-Plus Series from many other commercial offerings available.
