Lee Spring LC 016AC 02M is a precision compression spring from the Standard Compression Series (inch), engineered for applications requiring reliable quality compression springs. This spring features an 0.156-inch outside diameter (3.96 mm) with a 0.172-inch hole diameter (4.36 mm) and extends to a free length of 0.313 inch (7.95 mm). Made from Music Wire with a 0.016-inch wire diameter (0.41 mm), the spring delivers a spring rate of 8.395 lb/inch (1.47 N/mm) through its 4.24 active coils out of 6.24 total coils for predictable deflection behavior. The spring compresses to a solid height of 0.103 inch (2.61 mm) while supporting a maximum load of 1.761 lb (7.83 N) at full compression. The spring has Squared and Ground ends and a Zinc Plate and Bake per ASTM B633 finish for optimal performance.

About the Standard Compression Spring Series

The Lee Spring Standard Compression Spring line includes a wide range of size and rate combinations. Selections are sorted in ascending order to mating hole/bore diameter sizes. Standard Compression Springs are available in both standard and metric series. Standard Series springs are available in Music Wire, Type 302 Stainless Steel and Type 316 Stainless Steel. Metric Series springs are available in Music Wire and Type 302 Stainless Steel. The Music Wire springs are provided with a plating finish for light corrosion resistance. The Type 302 Stainless Steel springs are passivated, while Type 316 Stainless Steel springs are passivated and ultrasonically cleaned. Lee Spring Standard Compression Springs feature squared and ground ends. A squared end, also called a closed end, is made by reducing the coil pitch of the ends to zero. Squareness influences how a force produced by the spring can be transferred to adjacent parts. The ground ends provide flat bearing surfaces and additional stability.
