Lee Spring CIM025A 03 M is a precision compression spring from the Instrument Compression Series (metric) series, engineered for applications requiring reliable performance in moderate-load scenarios. This spring features an 1.4-mm outside diameter (0.055 inch) with a 1.5-mm hole diameter (0.059 inch) and extends to a free length of 7.5 mm (0.295 inch), making it ideal for instruments and assemblies where consistent and precise compression characteristics are critical. Made from Music Wire with a 0.25-mm wire diameter (0.01 inch), the spring delivers a spring rate of 1.853 N/mm (10.58 lb/inch) through its 15.56 active coils out of 17.56 total coils for predictable deflection behavior. The spring compresses to a solid height of 4.72 mm (0.186 inch) while supporting a maximum load of 5.16 N (1.161 lb) at full compression. The spring has Squared ends and a Pre-coated with Tin finish for optimal performance.

About the Compression Spring Instrument Series

Selections are sorted in ascending order to mating hole/bore diameter sizes. Instrument Compression Springs are available in both inch and metric series. Inch Series springs are available in Music Wire, Type 302 Stainless Steel and Type 316 Stainless Steel. Metric Series springs are available in Music Wire and Type 302 Stainless Steel. The Music Wire springs are made from coated wire or provided with a plating finish for light corrosion resistance. The Type 302 Stainless Steel springs are passivated, while Type 316 Stainless Steel springs are passivated and ultrasonically cleaned. Lee Spring Instrument Compression Springs feature squared ends. A squared end, also called a closed end, is made by reducing the coil pitch of the ends to zero. Squareness influences how a force produced by the spring can be transferred to adjacent parts
