Standard DIN Sizes Plus Improved Corrosion Resistance

Lee Spring CID010ZL 03S is a precision micro-miniature compression spring from the DIN-Plus Series Part 2 series, engineered for ultra-compact applications requiring reliable spring performance in extremely confined spaces. This spring features an 0.051-inch outside diameter (1.3 mm) with a 0.063-inch hole diameter (1.6 mm) and extends to a free length of 0.228 inch (5.8 mm), making it ideal for precision instruments, electronics, and micro-mechanical assemblies where space is at an absolute premium.. Made from Stainless Steel with a 0.004-inch wire diameter (0.1 mm), the spring delivers a spring rate of 0.337 lb/inch (0.059 N/mm) through its 8.5 active coils out of 10.5 total coils for predictable deflection behavior. The spring compresses to a solid height of 0.045 inch (1.15 mm) while supporting a maximum load of 0.062 lb (0.28 N) at full compression. The spring has Squared ends and a Passivate per ASTM A967 finish for optimal performance.

The Lee Spring DIN-Plus Compression Spring Series offers a large selection of standard DIN size springs to meet increasing global demand for metric designs with the added benefit of excellent corrosion resistance. The DIN-Plus Series is offered in two DIN types, Part 1 and Part 2. This spring is a DIN Part 2 type spring.

DIN2098 Part 2 Seires is the smaller range of DIN2098 compression springs are made from stainless steel available in sizes from 1.0mm (0.039") to 52.4mm (2.063") long. Wire sizes range from 0.1mm (0.004") up to 0.4mm (0.016") over a selection of outside diameters to work inside hole diameters from 0.8mm (0.032") to 6.0mm (0.237"). All parts are right hand wound with ends squared, and not ground. The Lee Spring DIN-Plus Part 2 range is distinguished from other commercial offerings with Lee Spring's passivation finish, which maximizes the essential corrosion resistance versus non-passivated stainless steel.
