FAQs: CAD and Print Downloads

Q. What types of downloads are available?

A. 3D CAD solid part files in the most common file types and 2D Prints with specifications are available for download.

Q. Do I need to download a viewer or any software?

A. No, the files can be downloaded and saved to a file or dropped directly into your CAD software. You chose the file type you would like from the drop down menu prior to downloading. You may need commercially available software to actually view and work with the files, but not to download.

Q. Can I show the spring in a specific loaded state (ex. compressed, extended) using the CAD download available?

A. Not yet, however this function will be added in the future.

Q. Can I get a print view in metric rather than imperial dimensions?

A. Not yet, however this function will be added in the future.

Q. Do I have to have to be logged into www.leespring.com to download files?

A. Yes, you will need to be a registered user of www.leespring.com. You can create a user login simply at www.leespring.com.

Q. When I try to download nothing happens?

A. Your computer’s pop-up blocker may be blocking pop-up windows which display the downloads. Either disable your pop-up blocker or hold down the ‘Ctrl’ key as you make a selection.

Q. What do I do if I am unable to download a file?

A. Check that your firewall is not impeding the access and that you computer is not blocking the pop-up menus. If you are still unable to download, contact Lee Spring by emailing marketing@leespring.com with the details of your download issues.
