REDUX Wave Springs from Lee Spring are suitable for use in space critical applications. Designed to replace conventional round wire Compression Springs when required, the REDUX Wave Spring offers tight load deflection and typically occupies a very small area in relation to the high performance of the spring.
To enhance efficiency and reduce operational cost, operating space and assemblies are getting smaller, leading to an increased demand for REDUX Stainless Steel Wave Springs. The size and weight of the assembly can be reduced by as much as 50% using a REDUX Wave Spring from Lee Spring.
Wave spring applications typically include connectors, pumps, clutches, seals, medical equipment and valves. All these applications require springs that offer uniform force distribution and/or uniform rotational pressure over 360° in restricted spaces.
Wave Springs are suitable for static and slightly dynamic load applications. More dynamic applications require special solutions because the additional stress put on the waves is likely to cause abrasion of the materials at the point of contact.
Manufactured from a single filament of Type 17-7 Stainless Steel flat wire formed in continuous precise coils with uniform diameters and waves, REDUX Wave Springs are offered in diameters from .375” (9.52 mm) to 1.25” (31.75 mm) to meet load requirements from 4 lbs (1.8 kg) to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
REDUX™ Wave Springs are now available from Lee Spring in smaller sizes. The range of Wave springs available from Lee Spring includes designs to fit 1/4” and 5/16” hole diameters and additional designs in the 1/2”, 9/16” and 5/8” ranges.
