As the year draws to a close Managing Director of Lee Spring UK, Chris Petts, reflects on some of the success of the year and looks forward to 2014.
“2013 has been a great year for Lee Spring, thanks partly to the expansion of our premises in the UK through a comprehensive refurbishment programme” says Chris Petts. “The refurbishment will enhance customer service in a number of ways.”
The site has been expanded from 7,500 sq feet to 12,600 sq feet, which will facilitate an increase to the product range of stock springs and fasteners available to customers.
The warehousing operation has also been reformatted through the refurbishment and the new updated UK facility equips Lee Spring to deal more efficiently with existing customers and the potential to increase customer numbers. “Orders are despatched quicker and more efficiently to customers” explains Chris Petts.
With more than six worldwide manufacturing plants, Lee Spring is recognised by customers as a company that represents quality at an International level. To help ensure quality standards are met in the UK, ISO 9001 Registered Company, Lee Spring, places a focus on processes, with Quality Manager Piotr Kazmierczak helping to ensure that all staff adhere to the enhanced quality processes.
Customer service is very important to Lee Spring. “Customers expect a high standard of service” says Chris Petts. “We offer a quick, reliable service and exceptional product quality.”
2013 also saw Lee Spring open new sales and production premises in Bangalore, India.
Under General Manager, Janardhana PR, Lee Spring Company PVT India Ltd is well positioned to serve the growing market demands of India, the Middle East and SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, which includes Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan).
“Lee Spring India exhibited at Fastener Fair India in April to introduce the company to the Indian engineering market” adds Chris Petts.
Lee Spring is a global supplier that recognises the importance of being close to its customers and has nine locations in the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom, India and China.
Lee Spring has exciting plans for 2014. “We will be increasing the offerings of our Bantam springs range and our compression springs range in 2014” says Chris Petts. “We are also looking to develop our catalogue with additional spring materials because we always aim to be a leading company, with new ideas, new products and new ways to provide springs to our customers, in order to enhance their engineering capabilities.”
The current Lee Spring catalogue is available to order through the company’s website.
